Area Information
Ballybunion is known throughout the world for its fine beaches, warm waters and glorious views.
The two commonly used beaches in Ballybunion, known as Ballybunion North and Ballybunion South - both of these have been awarded the blue flag for 2007.
There is plenty more to enjoy in nearby Tralee, including the famous Rose Festival, as well as Listowel, which has fine pubs and restaurants, and the September horse races.
As a touring base this is a great place to be since the Tarbert to Killimer ferry makes Limerick and breath taking Co Clare very accessible, while to the south Killarney and the Ring of Kerry are easily reached and not to be missed.
