I have been asked, by Chris Neophytou to write up the narrative on the apartments etc as he suffers from Freidriechs Ataxia and has been confined to a wheelchair for the last 19 years. I really don’t know where to begin, because he and his family offer so much. You must visit the websites. Sian .

In a wheelchair, a holiday in Cyprus is a possibility at C & A Tourist Apartments in Polis. The complex has been designed as totally wheelchair friendly with a swimming pool hoist for a dip in their crystal clear pool, raised sunbeds, pool railings, wheel in showers in both studios and apartments (one, two and three bedroom) as well as by the pool area. Airport transfers in accessible vehicles with tail lift will meet you at the airport and drive you to C & A.
Equipment can also be hired locally (please see below). The apartments and studios are all self-catering but breakfast can be ordered in the dining area. A/C and C/H is also available. The studios and apartments are all adapted to ensure comfort and maneuverability for the disabled traveler. In early 2009, additional studios and apartments were built and now consist of a total of 19 units
Disabled Room Specification
The units all feature roll-in showers together with wall mounted shower seats. Grab rails have also been placed in the shower areas as well as drop down rails on either side of the toilets. The doors into the shower rooms have been widened to 110 cm. Studios 2 & 3 and studios 6 & 7 have interconnecting doors making them ideal if 2 rooms are required. TV's are standard in all rooms as is air conditioning (payable locally) and central heating during the winter months (no charge)

Area Information
A glass bottom boat trip is a possibility. There is a hoist on board for wheelchairs users brave enough to dip in to the sea!
Parasailing is also possible amongst other water sports activities.
A beach ramp has just been installed at the local beach
Take a stroll along the wheelchair friendly beach walkway down to the harbour in Latchi. It is just a 20 minute stroll to the walkway and around 40 mins to the harbour by scooter or power wheelchair
