Standing at the top of the field, this new self catering holiday cottage is detached, stone-built, and commands spectacular views over the surrounding Lancashire countryside.

It is a comfortable, cosy, luxury cottage with underfloor heating and an AGA stove. A large open plan living / dining area, incorporating a well-equipped designer kitchen, will enable guests to enjoy each other's company whilst dinner is prepared.

On the ground floor are two spacious bedrooms. The first is a double bedroom with an ensuite bath and shower. The second is a twin bedroom with a walk-in shower. There is also a separate cloakroom / laundry room with wash basin, toilet, washing machine and tumble dryer.

A staircase from the lounge area leads up to an additional attractive bedroom on the first floor.

Outdoor space is provided by a private rear garden, with garden furniture and woodland views.

The very high quality of this cottage, finished by Italian tiled floors, beautiful rugs, furnishings and decorations, makes this an ideal cottage for families and friends.

Woodpecker Cottage - sleeps 12

Standing on the brow of the hill at the top of the seven-acre field, Woodpecker Cottage enjoys panoramic views towards the coast and the Lake District.

The largest of our self catering holiday cottages, Woopecker is detached, luxurious, stone-built, and has six bedrooms, five of which are ensuite, making it especially suitable for larger families, groups, couples and the less mobile.

The ground floor comprises a fantastic open-plan living area with comfy sofas, a woodburning stove, a dining table seating twelve, a superb designer kitchen with AGA stove, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, wine cooler, and granite work surfaces. It has a separate cloakroom with toilet and wash basin, plus a utilility area with washing machine and tumble dryer.

To the left of the hallway are two spacious bedrooms. The first is a double bedroom with an additional day bed and an ensuite with both bath and shower. The second is a twin bedroom with a walk-in shower.

The first floor comprises a large family bedroom, containing a double bed plus an additional day bed and an ensuite with both bath and shower. The sleeping accommdoation is completed by two further twin bedrooms, each with an ensuite shower room, and a single bedroom.

The cottage has underfloor heating, finished with lovely, tiled floors, rugs, contemporary furnishings and decorations.

To the rear of the cottage is a raised decked area, looking out into woodland with outdoor dining furniture and a private garden where you will see and hear the resident woodpeckers!
