This cottage has been sympathetically converted from farm buildings and is set in a quiet rural location yet only a 5 minute drive from the Cathedral City of Ripon, with its open air market, shops, restaurants and pubs. The cottage is all on ground floor level and is well equipped and with the benefit of original ceiling beams, provides warm and comfortable accommodation at any time of year. Set within a quiet courtyard tucked away from the small certified five pitch caravan site for the over 50's the cottages make an excellent base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales with Knaresborough, famous for Old Mother Shipton's Cave, and the Spa town of Harrogate only a 20 minute drive. Walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep, or take a gentle riverside stroll through Ripon. Fountains Abbey, a World Heritage Site, and Newby Hall are only 10 minutes away. The neighbouring village of Bishop Monkton (1 mile) has a shop and pub serving meals. If you wish to explore furher a field the city of York, the North York Moors and the East Coast are within easy driving distance. A well presented cottage with original beams, it is ideal for a couple looking for a relaxing break.
Ground floor: entrance hall. Open plan sitting/dining room with living flame gas fire. Kitchen area. 1 double bedroom with zip and link beds (can be king size double or twin) Shower room with shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin.
Facilities: gas cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster. Shared laundry room (with 4321) with washing machine and tumble dryer. Iron/ironing board. Colour TV, DVD and radio. Bed linen and towels provided. Gas central heating and all electricity included. Shaver point. Sitting area within sunny courtyard with table and chairs. No smoking in the cottage please. Private parking. 1 well behaved pet welcome.
