Renovated from former stable blocks and exuding immense charm and character, with exposed beams, open brickwork, woodburning stove and hand crafted stone fireplace, you are assured of a warm welcome at any time. The cottage is immaculately presented, well equipped and furnished with flair and imagination to an exceptional high standard. Affording extensive views across open countryside with horses grazing in the pastures, families can also feed the pet donkeys and chickens (by arrangement with the owner), there is also an aviary with parrots, or take a stroll along one of the many footpaths. A perfect choice for families and couples wishing to explore this wonderful rural and scenic area, either on foot or by car, or simply relax and savour the peace and tranquillity which awaits you. Breathtaking scenery can be enjoyed on the North Yorkshire Steam Railway which winds through the North York Moors to Goathland. There are numerous country inns serving meals in the neighbouring villages whilst the historic market towns of Pickering and Malton are close by with Castle Howard only a 15 minute drive. Helmsley with its 13th Century Castle and quality shops set around a cobbled market square, the City of York, and the seaside resorts of Scarborough and the vibrant port of Whitby are only a 30 minute drive away.
