Berwick upon Tweed (6 miles) is one of the most picturesque towns in the area, with a selection of good shops, pubs and restaurants and sandy beaches. Ideally located for exploring the wonderful Heritage Coastline with Holy Island and the Farne Islands close by as well as the rolling countryside of the Scottish Borders, the area is perfect for fishing, cycling and low level walks and has many notable sites of historic interest and castles to explore.
