This lovely cottage is peacefully located behind Colepike Hall, 1.5 miles from the larger village of Lanchester and only a 15 minute drive from Durham City, with its magnificent Norman Castle and Cathedral, now a World Heritage Site.
County Durham is one of England’s most northerly counties with a rich and varied heritage and some of the most impressive scenery - quite unspoilt!
Lanchester has good everyday shopping and Durham has a Victorian Indoor Market, lovely riverside walks, and Botanic Gardens, with Beamish Open Air Museum, the Durham Dales, Alnwick, Northumberland Coast and Metro Centre shopping all being within easy driving distance. In fact a great variety of beauties and treasures are waiting to be discovered.
Being all on ground floor level, this spacious cottage is very well equipped and presented in its surrounding well kept gardens with a sunny patio area.
Ground floor: entrance hall, sitting room with wood/tile fire place. French doors to an attractive sun lounge, also French doors to spacious dining room/well equipped kitchen. Utility room. Separate WC and wash hand basin. 2 bedrooms - 1 double and 1 twin. Sofa bed for occasional extra guest. Bathroom with 3 piece suite and separate shower.
Facilities: electric double oven/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster. Automatic washing machine, dryer, iron/ironing board. Colour TV, video, radio/CD player. Bed linen and towels provided. Full oil fired central heating and electricity included in the rent. Cot, high chair on request. Non-smokers preferred. Parking immediately outside the cottage.
